Ingredients
- Dumpling Wrappers (20-30 pieces)
- Cabbage (2 cups, finely chopped)
- Shiitake Mushrooms (1 cup, minced)
- Green Onions (2, finely chopped)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
- Soy Sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Sesame Oil (1 tablespoon)
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Cooking Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Begin by gathering all your ingredients and equipment. Finely chop the cabbage, mince the shiitake mushrooms, and slice the green onions. Grate the ginger for aroma.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, minced shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and grated ginger. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Mix everything thoroughly until the filling is well combined. Taste a bit for seasoning.
- To assemble, spoon about a tablespoon of filling onto each wrapper. Moisten edges to seal.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium. Cook dumplings until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve hot garnished with sesame seeds and enjoy with dipping sauce.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add sriracha to the filling or serve alongside spicy dipping sauce. Customize with other mushrooms if desired.
