Description

An elegant appetizer featuring crunchy baguette, sweet pears, and savory prosciutto, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • Baguette (1, sliced into ½-inch slices)
  • Fresh pears (2, ripe)
  • Prosciutto (4 ounces, thinly sliced)
  • Blue cheese (4 ounces, crumbled)
  • Honey (2 tablespoons)
  • Walnuts (¼ cup, chopped)
  • Fresh arugula leaves (1 cup)

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into ½-inch pieces, lay them on a baking sheet, and brush lightly with olive oil on both sides.
  2. Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast the baguette slices for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  3. Chop the walnuts and toast them in a small skillet over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Take one slice of the toasted baguette and lay down a small scoop of blue cheese. Top with fresh pear slices and prosciutto.
  5. Finish with a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of toasted walnuts, and a handful of fresh arugula.
  6. Arrange your crostini on a serving platter.

Notes

Feel free to customize with goat cheese or fig jam for added flavor. Garnish with fresh herbs or balsamic glaze for presentation.
