Description
A cozy and delicious dessert combining ripe pears, crunchy pecans, and rich caramel in a buttery crumble topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven warms, prepare the pears by peeling, coring, and slicing them into thin pieces. Place the sliced pears in a mixing bowl and toss them with the granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and caramel sauce until well-coated.
- Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and chopped pecans in another bowl. Add the softened butter, and using your fingertips, blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Layer the caramel-coated pears evenly in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble mixture generously over the pears and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruits are bubbling.
Notes
Consider serving the crumble with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
