Description

A cozy and delicious dessert combining ripe pears, crunchy pecans, and rich caramel in a buttery crumble topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven warms, prepare the pears by peeling, coring, and slicing them into thin pieces. Place the sliced pears in a mixing bowl and toss them with the granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and caramel sauce until well-coated.
  2. Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and chopped pecans in another bowl. Add the softened butter, and using your fingertips, blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Layer the caramel-coated pears evenly in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble mixture generously over the pears and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruits are bubbling.

Notes

Consider serving the crumble with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
