Description

A delightful fusion of cheesy queso dip and hearty Philly cheesesteak, perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1-2 jalapeños, sliced
  • Optional: Sliced mushrooms
  • Optional: Hot sauce
  • Garnishes: Chopped fresh parsley or chives, sour cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients by chopping onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add oil to the skillet, then the sliced steak. Sear for 3-4 minutes until browned; remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté onion and bell pepper in the same skillet for about 5 minutes, then add garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Return the steak to the skillet, pour in beef broth, and simmer briefly.
  5. Stir in cream cheese until melted, then gradually add cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until fully melted and creamy.
  6. Serve the dip warm with soft pretzels for dipping, garnished with parsley or chives and a dollop of sour cream.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different cheeses or add spice with jalapeños. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
