Description

Enjoy tender pulled beef and gooey cheddar sliders, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: dice the onion and mince the garlic. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium-high heat. Sear the beef chuck roast for about 5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the roast and set aside.
  3. Add diced onions to the pot and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in garlic, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce, and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the pot, pour in the beef broth, cover, and move to the preheated oven. Cook for about 3-4 hours or until fork-tender.
  5. Shred the beef using two forks and mix it back into the remaining sauce.
  6. Assemble by slicing the slider buns and placing a generous amount of pulled beef on the bottom half. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and more barbecue sauce if desired.
  7. Place the tops on the buns and put them in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to melt the cheese.

Notes

For added flavor, consider toping with fresh cilantro or green onions. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
