Description
Flavorful shredded beef sliders perfect for gatherings and casual dinners, inspired by Southern BBQ traditions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 12 slider buns
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Pickles (for garnish)
- Coleslaw (for garnish)
- Sliced jalapeños (for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure the beef chuck roast is trimmed of excess fat. Slice the onion and mince the garlic. Season the beef generously with salt and pepper.
- In a slow cooker, place the sliced onions at the bottom. Top with the seasoned beef, garlic, and pour in the beef broth. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- In the last hour of cooking, mix in the barbecue sauce, ensuring the beef is well-coated.
- Once the beef is cooked and shredded, build the sliders by placing shredded beef onto the bottom half of each slider bun. Add garnishes and finish with the top bun.
- Arrange on a platter, and serve with extra barbecue sauce for dipping.
Notes
Feel free to customize with different toppings or barbecue sauces. The beef can be made ahead for convenience.
