Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Sourdough Starter
- 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Warm Water
- ¼ cup Olive Oil
- 1 Egg
- Optional: Cream Cheese (for frosting)
- Optional: ½ cup Chopped Nuts
- Optional: ½ cup Dried Fruits

Instructions
- Prepare your sourdough starter. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- Combine sourdough starter, warm water, and olive oil in a bowl. Whisk in the egg. Gradually add flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon; stir until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size (approximately 2 hours).
- Flatten the risen dough on a floured surface. Roll into a rectangle, spread with cream cheese and sprinkle remaining brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll tightly and slice into sections.
- Arrange the slices in the prepared dish, let rise again for 1 hour. Poke dimples in the dough, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving. Optionally top with icing sugar drizzle.
