Description
A delightful blend of savory turkey, sweet apple, and creamy brie, perfect for a cozy lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices of sourdough or ciabatta bread
- ½ cup cooked turkey, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup brie cheese, sliced
- ½ apple, thinly sliced (preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Arugula or spinach (optional)
- Cranberry sauce (optional)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (for garnish)
- Toasted walnuts or pecans (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by gathering all your ingredients and equipment. Preheat your panini press or a skillet over medium heat.
- Begin by spreading the Dijon mustard evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Layer the turkey slices generously on one piece, then add the thinly sliced apple, followed by the brie.
- Top with the second slice of bread, mustard side down. Lightly butter the outside of the sandwich if using a skillet, or place it directly in the panini press.
- Place the sandwich in the hot skillet or press and grill for 3-5 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Once your panini reaches that perfect golden hue, remove it from the heat and let it sit for a minute to cool slightly. Slice it diagonally and serve.
Notes
For added sweetness, drizzle honey or maple syrup on the apple slices. Feel free to customize with different greens or spreads based on your preference.
